Murray Media is owned and operated by Nicholas and Natalie Murray. They have both worked in the film industry for over 8 years. Being life partners and business partners for almost a decade has allowed them to become an efficient team that allows them to handle projects of all scales.
Nicholas Murray has worked in the film and television industry for nearly 10 years. Early in his career he did a mentorship program through the Canadian Media Producers Association. This program gave him a position at the award winning production company Wango Films. He worked on several projects with Wango Films, and in that time learnt the fundamentals of operating a film set.
After several years operating as a Producer and Assistant Director, Nicholas shifted his focus towards the camera department. Nicholas started primarily as an Assistant Camera and after a few years he worked his way into more Camera Operating and Director of Photography positions.
Nicholas loves every aspect of the filmmaking process. Having worked a large variety of positions on sets of all sizes, Nicholas considers himself a ‘swiss army knife’ on set. His love and passion for filmmaking continues to drive his film making career.
Natalie Murray is a multifaceted filmmaker who is keen on making sure that a film set is operating at maximum efficiency. She started her career working on the all female crew feature film ‘Below Her Mouth’, which was featured at the Toronto International Film Festival.
Natalie has worked on a multitude of projects from music videos, corporate videos, web series, and short and feature films. Natalies love for storytelling and years of management skills give her the ability to oversee a project and find a balance telling the best story possible, while ensuring a project runs efficiently, on time and on budget.
